St.dalfour Cream In Dubai?

NEWSPAPER "THE EYE" of Wheelwright Primary Care Manual

FIRST AID

proposing this space the first question we make is whether the community would need to know how to work in first aid, it would be very important indeed, the second question if the community is considered important, the perception often does things that some of these lose their importance.

Let's place first then the importance of having a small first aid training, without delving into the issue of emergency systems are going to see its definition, we say that is a chain of physical and human resources, INTENDED TO PROVIDE CARE Patients who suffer sudden illness or injury to the scene, during transport, TO THE RIGHT PLACE AND THE RIGHT TIME, the term string indicates that all care chain is a set of links that should work in concert to benefit the patient, the term sudden indicates the sudden and unexpected situation.

determined that the first to face this situation are not firemen, ambulance men, policemen, doctors or other health personnel, but members of the community are found in this situation, who could increase the chances of survival of a patient, or minimize the consequences of this fact.

The first link in a chain of care is the community, we must assume this responsibility and act accordingly, the easiest way to act and improve the system is enabling us not forget that a chain is broken at the link

weak Some may wonder how I know, we know a few simple maneuvers that can contribute to the welfare of people at a critical time. We should also know that I know these maneuvers would be authorized to intervene in emergency much I junction.

Our idea would be to inform the community First Responder level, playing

that this is the first to reach the side of sick or injured.

have any fact

must always understand that the physician is uniquely qualified to solve definitively the problem of the sick.

Our attempt to include training exercises basic, which is what can save the life of a patient. Special situations in addition to basic maneuvers we will introduce some rules to prevent accidents and various other items to recognize some diseases.

While the components of an emergency system are many, just observe, the first two, which are the purview of the community. First I must recognize the emergency, if a vehicle accident in a very easy to see but not so with a sudden illness, this first link will only be strengthened by training and the second place we find the need for a NUMBER UNIVERSAL TELEPHONE, this number allow us to activate the emergency systems, must also be free and if we do not have booths on the streets, there are hundreds of phones that solve the problem, this issue we have today but many are unaware of the use pattern. This link is important that communication is the first thing we will improve,

always hear that question, in the event of an accident where we contact? In our area the call can be made to SAMCO or police, and they are responsible for switching the rest of the actors (doctors, firefighters, etc.).

Now the question is this: You are the first respondent, the first is in place, do you know telephone number of the police, do they know the phone number of SAMCO? Know

reported to 107 from your cell phone?, Maybe you read this I consider obvious, but believe it or not we done with school kids a survey and there are many who do not know. Do a test, if you do not know or are unsure read at the end of the note, and just ask some friends to see what their response is, in the event that this is negative and will report them contributed to the strengthening of a link local health care chain.

then assume that as a First Responder I realized I was facing an emergency wise and activate the local emergency systems, the next question is: What to do first thing is

DO MORE DAMAGE, our intervention should be limited to what we allow our knowledge, always keep calm to act with an adequate criterion and see where I'm trying to determine possible risks for me and the patient.

IN OUR NEXT EDITION Comment CPR techniques.

I hope the previous note I have served, I would really like to know the result, if made testing, how did the various phone numbers to call for emergency systems, you did not know what would be good if this has been informed that from now on, no doubt, certainly Another problem if we find easily, few of us know the names of different streets and numbering?, if I have to call an emergency system where the command of our people say that beside or in front of him, we fortunate to have health staff interpreter where it is. The first step in this passage is the loss of understanding communication, the person loses the ability to express himself and is losing touch with what is happening around them, this is followed by the Loss of consciousness, as it penetrates deeper into unconsciousness the core muscles of the tongue is loose, falling to the throat causing an airway obstruction, the air can not enter the lungs, left breathing entering respiratory failure, one or two minutes after the heart stops beating, cause cardiac arrest, is what is known as clinical death within minutes the brain cells die, causing irreversible brain damage, state of biological death . The aim of those who dare to provide life support is to intervene in this passage before brain damage occurs.
The steps of a first intervention are determined by the ABC of life, is what makes an order of priorities, this tells us where to begin and where should I direct. At the opening of the airway. B-mouth ventilation. C movement.
Think then what can we face, the solid elements can cause an obstruction of the airways fatal, the teeth of the grandparents who can not chew properly, the habit of chewing little to eat in a hurry, consumption alcohol affects a person's view, probably the act of talking or laughing while eating, etc..
If a piece of food, or other solid element, is housed in the airways, the victim suddenly becomes unable to speak, breathe or cough. Some victims will instinctively show the universal sign of airway obstruction taking your neck, your skin may turn blue and fall unconscious within minutes if the blockage is not resolved. manual compression: The embrace of life, known as the Heimlich maneuver, the objective is to create an artificial form of coughing, with which we force the air from the lungs to get out quickly and under pressure following a rapid compression, the air outlet should allow the foreign element is removed, abdominal thrusts are now recommended by the American Heart Association (American Heart Association), this maneuver can be performed when the patient is conscious, standing or crouching. First I located directly behind the patient, we put our hands around the waist, one hand we find the area of \u200b\u200bthe patient's belt or belly button and put it just above the cuff of the other hand, hand to locate I cover the wrist area and pressed hard and fast inward and upward, I repeat this maneuver until the object is eliminated or the patient falls into unconsciousness, it is important that your grip is below the junction of the ribs to prevent damage to internal organs. If the victim becomes unconscious must lie on the floor, preventing it from falling and hitting, we should be forewarned that this will happen, so I must be stopped to protect it, we stand astride the thighs of the patient place the heel of the hand in the middle of the abdomen, just above the navel and put your other hand over the first interlacing the fingers, we joined forward without losing the hand position by placing shoulders directly over the patient's abdomen and quick and strong compression up toward the head. In our next installment will see how to unblock airways in infants and young children, if you want to see the previous note in search for www.adrianparamedic.blogspot.com.

NOTE 3 WHEELWRIGHT DAILY EYE

In our previous note began the issue of unblocking airways, I really hope that is understood, it is not easy to develop this issue in a nutshell, is much easier to do it practically, I'll keep trying, remember we started with the ABC of life, these simple letters showed us what we should do first, the letter "A" refers to the opening the air, we saw how the Heimlich maneuver was applied in adult or youth. Also, the victim may be a baby or small child, they have a tendency be natural things in their mouths, there are a variety of items if they are on the airways can become clogged, more danger of this happening if you are running or playing.

We must always remember that the obstruction may be partial or total, if partial and can cough forcefully, to do so, if we can understand tell you how to do it, we must be attentive to the sounds of breathing, Abnormal noise during inhalation, or see a bluish discoloration of lips, nails or skin, we think that the patient is making very little air exchange, if the blockage is complete no listen to breath sounds, and observe respiratory movements, which requires an immediate reaction.

We must put the baby or small child face down or on your forearm, on the size of the victim, the head at a level lower than the trunk, supporting the head with his hand, chin should be in the curve that is formed between the thumb and forefinger, with the heel of your other hand there are four heavy blows to the back between the shoulder blades on time, then I put this arm in the back of the victim, placing it among our two hands, placing it in our thighs turn, given that the head is below the chest and compress the chest four times and ring fingers in the middle of the sternum. If we can see the foreign element will be removed if you do not see, do not want, because we could push the element further obstructing the airways. Throw your baby's jaw upward to open the mouth, if the child has begun to breathe after this maneuver I ventilate (ventilation technique we see below), if I feel that the air does not pass is because even remains obstruction, I repeat maneuvers until the opening of the airway.

addition foreign elements, the core muscles of the tongue are the most commonly obstruct the airways, in this case the opening of the airway through the neck hiperextención maneuver, used to any unconscious person, unless that unconscious not as a result of trauma, but this is not something that concerns us in this space, the move by tilting the head up the chin.

Other causes of obstruction does not allow a first responder to act, so it only remains to identify and seek immediate medical help because the patient probably need treatment with drugs or any surgical action.

If we hear a wheezing, may be the only sign that we are facing this situation and perhaps for a short time, this is common in people who suffer allergic reactions, but in his most serious expression in this case in addition to the urgent medical care, it is best that those who suffer from these episodes is warned that this can happen and always keep it the drug needed to solve your problem, something that very few have in mind, we have for such a history of people who suffered traffic accidents as a result of insect stings in the car, at this time Summer is not uncommon that fall within the vehicle.

back a bit on that seen in the passage from life to death we can say that I met a person who had begun to lose the ability to communicate because of airway obstruction, we performed Heimlich maneuver, the patient trying to dismiss the foreign element, if I did, problem solved , but continue with the assumption that the patient comes in unconscious , or when I got there it was in apparent unconsciousness, may be for many reasons, the fact is that we perform some specific actions and basic to prevent the patient from falling into respiratory arrest, said that the most common cause occurs when a person loses consciousness at this time the person falls on his back and core muscles of the tongue to fall backward relax on the pharynx obstructing the airways, in this case the respiratory arrest is easily preventable and treatable, only we call our emergency system and apply the neck hiperextención maneuver to open the airway.

The respiratory arrest can also occur due to injury or depression of the respiratory center, overdose of certain drugs, (legal or illegal), which depressed the functioning of the nervous system, an electric shock, etc. For us anyway as the first person giving a treatment response is the same, opening the airway to prevent respiratory arrest.

respiratory arrest can also result from cardiac arrest, blood flow ceases, leaving oxygen to the brain, consequently the respiratory center have lost their functions and respiratory failure. In our next post will explain briefly the steps of CPR, as synthetically diagnose and treat respiratory failure and cardiac arrest while waiting for attention emergency system in each residence. Until next time.

NOTE 4 DAILY EYE OF CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION WHEELWRIGHT

FIRST AID

Continuing with the process of resuscitation of persons suffering a blockage of the airways, we will mention the cardio pulmonary resuscitation, remember that if the actions mentioned above we can not unclog the airways, will alter the consciousness of the patient to lose consciousness as a result of this impaired consciousness respiratory arrest can occur, said a person to lose consciousness, fall on your back and the base of the tongue tends to fall back against pharynx, upper airway closing, the respiratory arrest is easy to prevent and treat using during the opening of the airways.

The causes of respiratory failure not only by airway obstruction can also occur from an overdose of drugs, damage to the respiratory center, electric shock, head injuries, shock or cardiac arrest.

Anyway, the first step in any unconscious person is to open the airway, for this single operation can prevent respiratory arrest.

Technically we conduct the first survey, it is a sum of diagnosis and immediate treatment, they made easy, the idea is that you can also learn and apply the members of a community, until the emergency system of the community up to the place.

Consider the letters ABC, they tell us the order of priority in the treatment of the unconscious. A: OPENING AIRWAY .- B: VENTILATION .- C: CIRCULATION.

The FIRST DIAGNOSIS is unconscious, it makes trying to communicate with the person speaking to the ears fall or hitting shoulder, if there is any response, its diagnosis will be the person unconscious, immediately we activate our emergency system, presumably you already know where to call to activate their emergency system, and apply the first treatment, is the letter A: OPENING AIRWAY, using the technique of head tilt and chin lift, this maneuver is not indicated in patients with cervical spinal injuries.

Then we're going to find out if the person is breathing, if breathing the patient's chest moves, we feel the air and also listen to it, these signs are not present when the person stops breathing, for this we make the second diagnosis, the goal is to diagnose the existence of respiratory failure, we must remember the word Mo, M look, listen and S E of feeling, so this does not put on the patient's airway (no more than two inches), always keeping the airway open and looking at the patient's chest, so will look if respiratory movements are present, hear breath sounds and feel the warmth of your breath on your cheek, if during ten seconds will not find respiratory signs, the diagnosis will of respiratory arrest, which undertakes to apply the second treatment. That is the letter B: Rescue breathing, this is the only way to save living, breathing for him, we do not need any special equipment, only our lungs, use the thumb and index finger of the hand that is holding the patient's head down resting on the front to tighten and close the nose. This is to prevent air escaping through the nose when you blow into the mouth, large open our mouth and apply around the mouth trying to seal, insufflate pressure within the patient's mouth the air in their lungs, noting whether the patient's chest rises, this is a sign that air is entering. After applying the first breath I take back my mouth to allow exhalation and repeat the maneuver, these two sprays should be carried out in five seconds.

We must continue with the letter C: TRAFFIC, the goal is to diagnose the presence of circulatory arrest, keeping the airway open with the hand that I have on the patient's chin look for the carotid pulse is called this way because I find the carotid artery, look for the ADAM'S APPLE with two fingers, my hand slipped to two to four centimeters in ten seconds if I do not feel the presence of pulse diagnosis is circulatory arrest We must start with the chest compression maneuvers. With the same hand that I'll find the pulse edge ribs, follow the edge to where the ribs join with the other side, there will be in what we call the point of repair, in that place place the index and middle fingers, place the heel of the hand was still on the head side and top of these fingers, with fingers extended remove the hand was at the point of repair, resting on the other, interlace your fingers lifting slightly upward so that only rests the heel of your hand directly on his chest , extend your arms, lock your elbows, keep the patient back over your shoulders are looking almost perpendicular to the midline of the patient. Use your body weight to compress down between 2 and 4 inches after each compression should relax allowing a good decompression of the chest, never removing the hands, if that happens I must return to locate the point of repair, not to do compressions at this point , and restart the maneuver, you must perform thirty compressions, is also important to remember that decompression of the chest, after making the thirty compressions to reopen the airway, perform the two breaths and repeat the thirty compressions again. After a couple of minutes should again make the diagnosis of respiratory arrest, if this persists two sprays are applied again, the diagnosis is made circulatory arrest, in the absence of the pulse is continued chest compressions until the person responds or reaches the emergency system.

Coincidentally on December 17, radio 10, listened Dr. Cormillot, and just wing meant that the community need to know to perform this maneuver, in his comment was referring to the 27,000 deaths that occur per year for shutdowns cardio, according to the doctor, taking statistics, it could recover 20% of patients, and if it would have defibrillators available for community use could be recovered up to 50% of the victims.
